Prof. Boccaccini was one of the co-organisers of the Symposium on Fibers, Foams and Composites, in honor of Prof. K. K. Chawla (University of Alabama, at Birmingham, USA) held at the Materials Science and Technology (MST 2011) conference in Columbus, OH, USA on 15-20^th October 2011.
