Prof. Boccaccini invited speaker in Madrid
On 29th October, Prof. Boccaccini presented the Fall Lecture 2013 of the Institute of Ceramics and Glass of Madrid, Spain. The topic of the lecture was “Bioactive Glass Based Scaffolds for Bone Tissue Engineering: Advances and Challenges” where he presented the knowledge frontiers on the processing and design of biomaterials for bone tissue scaffolds based on novel bioactive glass-polymer combinations. The Fall Lectures of ICV were instituted in 2010 to present the frontiers of ceramic and glass science developments. Every year a well recognized researcher with major contributions in a given field related to ceramics or glass science and technology delivers the lecture to the whole ICV and the wider materials community in Madrid.
