Visit from Imperial College London
Professor Chris Cheeseman , professor of Materials Resources Engineering at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Imperial College London, UK, visited our Institute on 16-20 December 2013 in the framework of the visiting professors program of the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg. We have a long collaboration with Prof. Cheeseman’s research group in the field of sustaibable materials, waste management; beneficial reuse of industrial residues and waste encapsulation technologies (for two recent papers, see [1, 2]). During the visit of professor Cheeseman we discussed new topics for collaboration in the general field of new materials from waste and the testing of the biocompatibility of such waste-containing materials.
