TOPbiomat scientific seminar
The 11th Scientific Seminar of the Emerging Fields Initiative (EFI) funded project: “Bioactive materials, cell and tissue printing: New therapeutic approaches for organ level tissue engineering and regenerative medicine” (TOPbiomat) was held on 12th June at the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, University of Erlangen-Nuremberg. The seminar was chaired by Prof. A. R. Boccaccini, and the invited speakers were Prof. Dr. Viviana Mouriño, Faculty of Pharmacy and Biochemistry, University of Buenos Aires, Argentina, who presented the lecture: “Tissue engineering with drug delivery” and Prof. Dr. Sevi Murugavel (pictured with Prof. Mouriño and Prof. Boccaccini), Department of Physics and Astrophysics, University of Delhi, India, who presented the lecture: “Biomineralization in bioactive glasses with hierarchical structures”.
