EU project ReBioStent meeting in the UK
An important progress meeting of the EU project ReBioStent (Reinforced Bioresorbable Biomaterials for Therapeutic Drug Eluting Stents) took place on 6-7 May 2015 in Stoke-on-Trent, UK, at the premises of LUCIDEON one of the consortium partners. Doctoral researchers Abi Sengottuvelan and Elena Boccardi are working in this project together with Prof. Aldo R. Boccaccini, who is the leader of Work Package 3 dealing with biodegradable composites. The meeting reviewed the consortium’s advances in the development of biomaterials with suitable properties for the intended applications in drug eluting stents.
