EUROMAT 2015 in Warsaw
Prof. Aldo R. Boccaccini attended the European Congress and Exhibition on Advanced Materials and Processes (EUROMAT 2015) in Warsaw, Poland, September 20 – 24, 2015. He was the coordinator of topic F2: Tissue Engineering; Regenerative Medicine; Nanomedicine and Drug Delivery within Area F (Biomaterials and Healthcare) together with Prof. Joao Mano, University of Minho, Portugal, and Prof. Elisabeth Engel, Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia, Spain. Prof. Boccaccini chaired two sessions in symposium: Materials in Regenerative Medicine, Nanomedicine and for Drug Delivery. He presented two talks:
1) Advanced alginate-based hydrogels with improved cytocompatibility for tissue engineering
2) ALP functionalization of boron-containing silicate, borosilicate and borate bioactive glass scaffolds
