1st NanoHeal Network Meeting and NanoHeal School in Lyon
The 1st NanoHeal Network Meeting and NanoHeal School were held on 19th – 23rd October 2015 in Lyon, France, hosted by University of Lyon in cooperation with the University of Oslo (UiO) (NanoHeal Network coordinator). The main theme of NanoHeal Network is: “Nano-tailoring organo-mineral materials – Controlling strength and healing with organic molecules in mineral interfaces”. NanoHeal is a Marie Sklodowska Curie European Training Network under Horizon 2020 that started in January 2015. Ms Barbara Myszka (PhD student in this Network) and Prof. Aldo R. Boccaccini, Head of Institute of Biomaterials, attended this event. Prof. Boccaccini presented the lecture: “Bioactive materials and composites for tissue engineering and Ca carbonates as biomaterials”. This was a 5 day meeting with a combination of plenary sessions, poster sessions, excursions, and numerous scientific discussions and networking opportunities. (Click images to enlarge)
