Visit from Italy
We currently receive the visit of Mr Gioacchino Conoscenti, PhD student working under supervision of Prof. Vincenzo La Carrubba, Department of Civil, Environmental, Aerospace, Materials Engineering, Bio and Tissue Engineering Lab., University of Palermo, Italy. The application of organic-inorganic composites for bone tissue engineering, as reviewed previously [1], continues to attract significant research interest. In this project, we collaborate with Prof. La Carrubba’s group in the field of bioactive glass containing biodegradable composites obtained by thermally induced phase separation technology. The project involves also collaboration with the group of Prof. Gundula Schulze-Tanzil Institute for Anatomy, Klinikum Nuremberg Medical School, Paracelsus Medizinische Privatuniversität Nuremberg.
