Prof. Stephan Wolf visits the Institute of Biomaterials
On 12th January 2017 we received the visit of Prof. Stephan Wolf, Junior professor for Biomimetic Materials and Processes at the Institute for Glass and Ceramics, FAU. Prof. Wolf presented the lecture: “Nature doesn’t follow text books: nonclassical crystallization pathways in biomineralization”. We currently have a project in the field of calcium carbonate biomaterials (Ms Barbara Myska) in the framework of the EU ITN project “NanoHeal“. This and other areas of overlapping interests were discussed and we plan collaboration with the research group of Prof. Wolf in this field.
