Visit from China
During July-August 2017 we are hosting researchers from the School of Life Sciences, Northwestern Polytechnical University, Xi’an, China, in the framework of the DAAD/CSC funded project in the field of nanostructured bioactive coatings for orthopedic applications. Ms Hongfei Qi (PhD student) and Prof. Liting Lu are visiting the Institute of Biomaterials, pictured with Dr Yuyun Yang (FAU investigator in the project), and Prof. Aldo R. Boccaccini. The project involves the development of novel organic-inorganic coatings by electrophoretic deposition and dip-coating methods, also in collaboration with the group of Prof. Virtanen in the FAU Chair for Surface Science and Corrosion.
