Meeting of the Scientific Board of EU Teaming project FunGlass in Trencin, Slovakia
The meeting of the Scientific Board of the EU funded (Teaming) project “FunGlass” took place in Trencin, Slovakia, on 7 – 8 March, 2018. Dr. Liliana Liverani attended the meeting representing our Institute with remote participation of Prof. Aldo R. Boccaccini via teleconference (photo). “FunGlass” aims at establishing a new Centre of Excellence for improved glass materials based at Alexander Dubček University in Trencin, Slovakia. The Institute of Biomaterials at FAU is participating in the scientific development of the Centre. FunGlass is financed through an EU Horizon 2020 Teaming project that supports EU countries with a developing research infrastructure. Our Institute plays a leading role in the area of “Glass in Medicine”, with Prof. Dr. Aldo R. Boccaccini, Chair of Biomaterials, being responsible for the academic and professional training of doctoral candidates and postdoctoral researchers of the new Centre.
