Visit from East China University of Science and Technology, Shanghai
In the framework of our academic exchange program “Synergistic effects of bioactive implanted materials, trace elements and small molecules promoting bone regeneration and osseointegration under osteoporotic conditions” with the Engineering Research Center for Biomedical Materials of Ministry of Education inEast China University of Science and Technology (ECUST), Shanghai, China, we received the visit of Prof. Jie Wei, Professor at School of Materials Science and Engineering, ECUST.
He presented the invited seminar: “Bioactive biomaterials for bone repair”.
We are currently collaborating with the group of Prof. Wei in the development and characterization of bioactive composite materials for improved bone repair strategies. Two PhD students of ECUST are visiting our Institute: Mr Liang Cai and Mr Xinglong Hu (pictured with Prof. Boccaccini and Prof. Wei). The project is supported by the China Scholarship Council (CSC) and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).
Our latest paper with the group of Prof. Wei has been recently published [1].
