2nd BioMaH conference “Biomaterials and Novel Technologies for Healthcare” in Frascati, Italy
The 2nd International Biennal Conference BioMaH:”Biomaterials and Novel Technologies for Healthcare” was held in Frascati, Italy, on October 8-11, 2018. Prof. Aldo R. Boccaccini was one of the Conference presidents, together with Dr. Mauro Alini (AO Foundation, Switzerland), while Dr. Julietta Rau (CNR, Italy) was the Conference Chair. Prof. Boccacccini chaired scientific sessions and presented two oral contributions: “Doping bioactive glasses with biologically active ions for emerging tissue engineering applications” and “Biofabrication with alginate Di-Aldehyde/Gelatine (ADA/GEL) hydrogels: Progress, Applications and Challenges”.
Our Institute was represented also by Ms Vera Bednarzig (PhD student) and Mr Lukas Gritsch (PhD student) who gave the oral presentations: “3D Bioplotting of the recovery of cranial bone defects on the basis of titanium and hydrogel composites” and “New ways to fight bacteria: towards the application of therapeutic ion release and polyester based biomaterials for antibiotic-free antibacterial devices”, respectively.
