Prof. Jan Hansmann visits the Institute of Biomaterials
On 16th Jan. 2020 we received the visit of Prof. Jan Hansmann, from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt, Fraunhofer Institute for Interfacial Engineering and Biotechnology and University of Würzburg. We are collaborating with Prof. Hansmann in different projects in the field of biomaterials for regenerative medicine. In particular Prof. Hansmann is one of the principal investigators in the SFB/TRR 225 „From the fundamentals of biofabrication towards functional tissue models”, and we collaborate here in Project B03 “Simultaneous printing of Biofabricates and custom sized bioreactors” together with Prof. S. Salehi (Univ. of Bayreuth). The expansion of our research collaborations to bioreactors and 3D printing technologies was discussed.
