Our participation at CERAMICS 2021 (DKG Annual Meeting)
Prof. Aldo R. Boccaccini was the co-organiser TOPIC 08 “Ceramics for Healthcare”, with Prof. Kurosch Rezwan (University of Bremen) (pictured) and Prof. Anne Leriche (University of Valenciennes, France) and co-chaired the respective sessions in the framework of the CERAMICS 2021 conference, the 96th Annual Meeting of the German Ceramic Society (DKG), which was held online on April 19-21, 2021. There were two oral presentations by members of our Institute, Qaisar Nawaz (PhD student) presented the talk: “Synthesis, evolution of crystallization kinetics and biological performance of sol-gel derived 13-93 bioactive glass”, while Marcela Arango (PhD student) gave the talk: “In vitro bioactivity of silicon oxycarbide-based bioactive glasses modified with Ca and Zn for bone regeneration”.
