Prof. Aldo R. Boccaccini and Dr. Rainer Detsch in the newly established Guidelines Committee for Bioprinting of the The Association of German Engineers (VDI)
The “Guidelines Committee: Bioprinting” of the The Association of German Engineers (VDI) has been recently established. Prof. Aldo R. Boccaccini and Dr. Rainer Detsch are fouding members of the commitee. Dr. Hanna Hartmann (NMI Naturwissenschaftlichen und Medizinischen Institut, Reutlingen) and Prof. Dr. Jürgen Groll (Universitätsklinikum Würzburg) will serve as chairs of the new VDI-committee. The new guidelines committee VDI 5708 should consider the basic definitions and terminology relevant for the bioprinting process and it will establish requirements for bioinks and 3D bioprinters considering physichemical and biological aspects involved the bioprinting process.
