Farewell to Dr. Kai Zheng
Last week we said good-bye to Dr. Kai Zheng, a valuable member of our Institute for almost ten years, as PhD student, post-doctoral and associated researcher, who worked on many projects related to sol-gel derived bioactive glasses for drug delivery and tissue engineering. Kai will start his independent academic position in his home country, China. During his period in our Institute, Kai co-authored more than 50 papers, as first and/or corresponding author. We thank Kai for his enormous contribution to our Institute over the years and we wish him all the best in his future career, anticipating that we will remain in contact for international collaborations.
