Our participation at the Annual Meeting 2021 of the German Society for Biomaterials (DGBM)
Our Institute has a strong show at the Annual Meeting 2021 of the German Society for Biomaterials (DGBM), which was held online on 7-8 October 2021. Prof. Boccaccini chaired the session “Functional Biomaterials I, Dr. Rainer Detsch gave an oral presentation in the “Biofabrication” session while Dr. Liliana Liverani and PhD students Kanwal Ilyas, Thomas Kreller, Zoya Hadzhieva, and Faina Bider (PhD students) presented posters. We congratulate our former Master student Laura Schmidt who received the Best Master Thesis Award 2021 of DGBM for her thesis with the titled “Oxidized hyaluronic acid based hydrogels as novel bioink for neural tissue engineering”, supervised by Ms Sonja Kuth and Professor Boccaccini. Moreover, we congratulate Dr. Liverani for receiving the Best Poster Prize at DGBM 2021 for her project entitled: “Cotton-like electrospun bioactive glass fibres for soft tissue engineering”.
