Gallium containing biomaterials in biomedical applications: new Open Access review paper online in Bioactive Materials
Our Open Access review paper “Gallium containing bioactive materials: A review of anticancer, antibacterial, and osteogenic properties” (authors: Fatih Kurtuldu, Nurshen Mutlu, Aldo R. Boccaccini, Dušan Galusek) in Bioactive Materials (IF: 14.593) is available online. This review was written in the framework of our collaboration with the EU funded (Horizon 2020) Centre for Functional and Surface Functionalized Glass (FunGlass), at Alexander Dubček University of Trenčín, Slovakia. The review covers comprehensively the biomedical applications of Ga containing biomaterials, including melt-derived and sol-gel-derived bioactive glasses, calcium phosphate bioceramics, metals and coatings.
