Prof. Aldo R. Boccaccini to receive honorary doctorate in Finland
Prof. Aldo R. Boccaccini, Head, Institute of Biomaterials at FAU, will receive an honorary doctorate from Åbo Akademi University, Turku, Finland. Prof. Boccaccini is conferred the title of Honorary Doctor of Philosophy in recognition of his successful research in biomaterials and his collaboration with Åbo Akademi University. Specifically, Boccaccini serves as a member of the Scientific Advisory Board for BioCity Turku and is engaged in close collaboration with Åbo Akademi University, specially with the Johan Gadolin Process Chemistry Centre. An Honorary Doctorate is conferred by the university in recognition of the person’s scientific merits or substantial contributions in society. The conferral ceremony will take place in Turku on Friday, 20 May 2022.
