QS World University Rankings(R): our University in 1st position in Germany (20th in the world) in the category “Citations per Faculty”
The University of Erlangen-Nuremberg (FAU) tops the list of German universities in the category “Citations per Faculty”, according the the latest edition of the prestigious “QS World University Rankings(R)”. In this important category that indicates the impact of the research being carried out across all Departments and Institutes, FAU is in 4th place in Europe and one of the top 20 universities worldwide. In the subjects’ ranking, Materials Science and Engineering is FAU’s top-rated subject. It is in 95th place worldwide and 5th in Germany. Prof. Boccaccini said: “The continuous excellent position of FAU in the University rankings confirms the high impact of the outstanding research being carried out across all Faculties of our University and I am certain that our Department of Materials Science and Engineering has a strong contribution to this success”.
