Strong participation of our Institute at ESB 2022 conference in Bordeaux, France
Our Institute was well represented at the 32nd Annual Conference of the European Society for Biomaterials (ESB 2022), held on 4-8 September 2022 in Bordeaux, France. Faina Bider, Huijun Zhang, Sonja Kuth, Irem Unalan (PhD students) and Dr. Farnaz Ghorbani presented the results of their projects (poster presentations). Prof. Boccaccini was the co-chair of two sessions: “Surface functionalization”, and the Clinical Session I: “Cardiovascular clinical applications”, which attracted a lot of interest. Moreover several other posters were presented in collaboration with researchers from other institutions, e.g. with Dr. Poh Soo Lee, TU Dresden, Ms Elisa Piatti (Polytechnic of Turin, Italy) and Dr. Oznur Demir-Oguz, Riga Technical University, Latvia. Moreover, Prof. Aldo R. Boccaccini attended the General Assembly of the European Society for Biomaterials (ESB) on 7th September as member of the ESB council and as current vice-president of ESB.
