We welcome our new PhD students in binational co-supervision with Federal University of Santa Catarina, Brazil
Ms Clara Dourado Fernandes and Ms Isabela Karina Della Flora, PhD students from Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC), Florianópolis, Brazil, have started their research period in our Institute. Clara and Isabela are PhD students in the framework of the project “Ph.D. with Double Degree UFSC-FAU”, which is funded by the Research Foundation of Santa Catarina (FAPESC). At UFSC, the project is led by the Graduate Program in Chemical Engineering (PosENQ). The program involves the binational co-supervision (co-tutelle) of their PhD thesis projects, with co-supervisors based at UFSC and Prof. Boccaccini at FAU. Clara and Isabela are working on new biopolymers for biomedical applications and nanoparticles derived by green chemistry approaches, respectively. We wish them much success and a very good time in Erlangen.
