Visit from Zagreb, Croatia
In the week 8-12 May 2023 we received the visit of Dr. Anamarija Rogina and Dr. Leonard Bauer from the Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Technology, University of Zagreb, Croatia. We are collaborating with the research group of Dr. Rogina in the framework of the DAAD funded project “Bioactive composite materials for bone tissue engineering”. In particular we are developing new composite materials combining chitosan and bioactive glasses, which are characterised in terms of their biological activity and antibacterial effects. Faina Bider and Zoya Hadzhieva (PhD students) are participating in this project and will visit the Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Technology at Univ. of Zagreb during 2023.
