Strong participation of our Institute at ECERS 2023 conference in Lyon, France
Our Institute was well represented at the XVIII Conference of the European Ceramic Society (ECERS 2023), held on 2-6 July 2023 in Lyon, France. Marcela Arango-Ospina, Zoya Hadzhieva (PhD students) presented the results of their projects (oral presentations). Prof. Boccaccini was the lead co-organiser of the Symposium “Bioceramics, composites and bioactive glasses for healthcare”. He co-chaired two sessions of this symposium and he co-chaired one session of the “FunGlass symposium – Functional and Surface functionalized Glasses”, which attracted a lot of interest. Prof. Boccaccini delivered the Highlight presentation “Bioactive glasses with enhanced biological activity by metal ion doping”. There were also meetings with our partners of the Centre for Functional and Surface Functionalized Glass (FunGlass) and the Baltic Biomaterials Center of Excellence (BBCE), Latvia, Riga.
