Summer School 2023 of SFB/TRR225 “Biofabrication” in Erlangen
The Summer School 2023 of the Collaborative Research Center SFB/TRR225 “Biofabrication” took place in Erlangen in the week 24-28 July, coordinated by Prof. Aldo R. Boccaccini (FAU) and Prof. Felix Engel (University Hospital Erlangen, UKER). The Summer School involved lectures given by high profile speakers from Germany and abroad, divided into two main themes, namely “biomaterials/3D printing technologies” and “biology/medicine”. The talks were insightful and thought-provoking leading to engaging discussions and scientific exchanges. In addition, the School included also laboratory demonstrations in different Institutes based at FAU and UKER, and an attractive social program, this one coordinated by Jonas Roeder (PhD student at the FAU Institute of Biomaterials). Prof. Boccaccini said: “I thank Prof. Felix Engel, PhD student Jonas Roeder and everyone who helped with the organisation and was so supportive and helpful during this week, enabling us to offer what I think was a very attractive program to our PhD students in TRR225, with a top combination of first class speakers, practical laboratory demonstrations and a varied social program”.
