Strong participation of our Institute at the Annual Meeting of the German Society for Biomaterials (DGBM) 2023 in Jena
Our Institute had a strong show at the Annual Meeting 2023 of the _German Society for Biomaterials (DGBM), which was held on 14-16 September 2023 in Jena. Prof. Boccaccini chaired the session “Antimicrobials and Translation″, Dr. Rainer Detsch chaired the session “Additive Manufacturing” and presented an oral contribution (Tailored hydrogels as a platform technology for various biomedical applications: What is required to create an alginate-based bioink library?) in the session “Biofabrication”, which was endorsed by the Collaborative Research Centre TRR 225. Moreover PhD students Hsuan-Heng Lu, Jonas Roeder and Memoona Akthar presented posters and short presentations. We congratulate Dr Irem Unalan, who received the Best Doctoral Thesis Award 2023 of DGBM for her thesis carried out in the field of essential releasing engineered scaffolds, supervised by Professor Boccaccini.
