Annual meeting of the EU project Nanobloc(R) in Barcelona
The annual meeting of the EU (Horizon Europe) project Nanobloc(R) (ANTIVIRAL, ANTIBACTERIAL & ANTIFUNGAL NANOCOATING PLATFORM) took place on 28th November 2023 in Barcelona, Spain. Ms Zoya Hadzhieva and Ms Faina Bider (PhD students) attended the meeting in presence. The project is coordinated by Prof. Monica Ferraris from Polytechnic of Turin and our Institute is responsible for the production of sol-gel derived and electrophoretic antibacterial coatings. All academic and industrial project partners took part in the meeting and discussed the current progress and future work on novel coatings for antibacterial and antiviral applications. Our Institute will host the next annual project meeting in Erlangen in 2024. This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon Europe programme under grant agreement nr. 101057597.
