Visit from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece

In the week of 4-8.12.2023 Ioannis Tsamesidis (Post-Doc), Evangelia Balla (PhD student), Nicolaos Bikiaris (PhD Student) from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, visited the Institute of Biomaterials in the framework of the DAAD (Greek-German collaboration, IKYDA) project. Prof. Aldo R. Boccaccini, Ms. Zoya Hadzhieva, and Ms. Faina Bider (Ph.D. students) hosted the Greek visitors, discussed the specific tasks of the project, and planned future experimental work. During this stay, the Greek and German teams worked on the evaluation of the cytocompatibility of chitosan-based composite scaffolds for tissue engineering applications. The Greek guests attended the organized lab tours in the Institute and performed morphological analysis of organic-inorganic composite materials.
