Prof. Aldo R. Boccaccini marks 30 years as member of the German Society of Glass Technology (DGG)
Prof. Aldo R. Boccaccini marks 30 years of continuous membership of the German Society of Glass Technology (DGG). He started his membership in 1993 when he was a doctoral student at RWTH Aachen (Germany). Prof. Boccaccini said: “Over the years I have participated in numerous activities organised by DGG, in particular the DGG annual conferences at which I have organised scientific sessions several times. I will be always grateful to my PhD advisor at RWTH Aachen, the late Prof. Gerhard Ondracek, for encouraging me to join DGG early in my career. Indeed the material glass has been a permanent companion of my research and teaching activities since then. I have met top colleagues at DGG events and I am very thankful for the support and the network opportunities provided by the DGG over the years”.
