1st Update Meeting of Collaborative Research Centre CRC /SFB 1540 “Exploring Brain Mechanics”
The 1st Update Meeting of the Collaborative Research Centre CRC /SFB 1540 “Exploring Brain Mechanics” took place on 9th February 2024 at Max Planck Institute for the Science of Light in Erlangen. Markus Lorke (PhD student on the project) and Prof. Aldo R. Boccaccini attended the meeting. Markus Lorke presented a poster and short oral contribution about the advancement and key results obtained so far within Project X03 “Engineering brain tissue-like matrices”, led by Prof. Boccaccini as PI. The EBM CRC is investigating mechanics-based approaches to advance our understanding of the function of the central nervous system and, as a long-term vision, the CRC is expected to provide the foundation for future improvement of diagnosis and treatment of neurological disorders.
