Prof. Hélder A. Santos, University of Groningen, The Netherlands, visits the FAU Institute of Biomaterials
Prof. Hélder A. Santos, Head of the Department of Biomaterials and Biomedical Technology, University Medical Center Groningen, University of Groningen, The Netherlands and Director and Head of the Nanomedicine and Biomedical Engineering Lab, Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Helsinki, Finland, visited the FAU Institute of Biomaterials on 4-5 April 2024, following an invitation from Prof. Aldo R. Boccaccini. Prof Santos presented the lecture “MICRO/NANO-BASED DRUG DELIVERY PLATFORMS FOR BIOMEDICAL APPLICATIONS”. He toured the laboratories of our Institute and discussed with Prof. Boccaccini and other members of the Institute on common research interests, identifying topics for expanding the already established collaboration between the two research groups, currently in the framework of the EU H2020-MCSA-ITN-EJD-2020 project “PERSPECTIVES FOR FUTURE INNOVATION IN TENDON REPAIR” (P4FIT). The establishment of a program for academic and student exchanges between the two institutes at Univ. of Groningen and FAU was also discussed.
