Visit from FunGlass Center: Dr. Hana Kaňková
In July 2024, we are hosting Dr. Hana Kaňková from FunGlass – Centre for Functional and Surface Functionalized Glass, Trencin, Slovakia. Dr. Kaňková collaborates in many projects of our Institute, specially in the characterisation of the composition of bioactive glasses and their ion release kinetics upon immersion in biological fluids by means of inductively coupled plasma-optical emission spectrometry (ICP-OES). (See for example /1/). During her stay in our Institute Dr. Kaňková will be trained in the synthesis and characterisation of ion doped mesoporous bioactive glass nanoparticles.
