International Workshop “Engineering of Tailored Biomaterials for Tissue Regeneration” organised in our Institute
The International Workshop “Engineering of Tailored Biomaterials for Tissue Regeneration” was organised by Dr. Rainer Detsch and Prof. Aldo R. Boccaccini on 22nd July 2024 at the FAU Institute of Biomaterials, as part of the 13th International Conference on Voice Physiology and Biomechanics (22nd – 26th July 2024), an international conference being held in Erlangen, organised by Dr. Michael Döllinger and Dr. Stefan Kniesburges from Division of Phoniatrics and Pediatric Audiology, Department of Head and Neck Surgery, FAU. The workshop provided insight into cutting-edge research conducted in our Institute in Erlangen. Invited speaker at the Workshop was Prof. Raymund Horch, Department of Plastic and Hand Surgery and Laboratory for Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine, University Hospital Erlangen. Dr. Rainer Detsch presented the talk “From Bioinks to living Constructs” while Prof. Boccaccini presented the talk “Avances in Biomaterials for Tissue Engineering”. The workshop included a laboratory tour with two groups: biomaterials characterization and 3D bioprinting.
