The Workshop “Reliability of Implants and Biostructures” of the “German Society for Materials Research and Testing (Deutsche Verband für Materialforschung und –prüfung (DVM)” took place on 23-24 October 2024 in Erlangen, co-organised by Prof. Aldo R. Boccaccini, Prof. Ulrich Lohbauer  (University Hospital Erlangen) and Prof. Claudia Fleck  (TU Berlin), who is also the chair of the DVM Working Group “Reliability of Implants and Biostructures”. Prof. Boccaccini is a founding member of the DVM Working Group “Reliability of Implants and Biostructures”. He chaired the session on biomaterials. Dr. Irem Unalan presented the talk “Fabrication and Characterization of hierarchical PCL Based Scaffolds Combining via Melt Electro-writing and Electrospining Methods for Fatigue Response”, showing results of our project in the frame of the DFG  funded Research Unit “Bioinspired Anti-Fatigue” (FOR 5657, BIOAntiFatigue). A group of participants at the Workshop visited the laboratories of the FAU Institute of Biomaterials.
