Two Alexander v. Humboldt Foundation fellowship holders carrying out research in our Institute

Our Institute is currently hosting two top biomaterial scientists, holders of fellowships of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation: Prof. Papia Haque, from the Department of Applied Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, University of Dhaka, Bangladesh, working on hydrogels containing mesoporous bioactive glass nanoparticles for wound healing, and Prof. Matin Mahmoudifard, National Institute of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology, Tehran, working on functionalized biopolymer nanofibers for bone tissue engineering. Prof. Boccaccini said: “It is a privilege to have Prof. Haque and Prof. Mahmoudifard as guest researchers in our Institute. I am sure that there will be impactful results from the exciting projects on which they are working. Our Institute will benefit from their expertise. We are very grateful to the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation for the financial support.”
