Our Institute organised Workshop on “Advanced drug delivery and drug targeting” for the Baltic Biomaterials Center of Excellence (BBCE)
-6 November 2024, our Institute hosted the Workshop “Advanced drug delivery and drug targeting” in the framework of our training activities for researchers based at the Baltic Biomaterials Center of Excellence (BBCE), in Riga, Latvia, EU-funded project (Horizon 2020, grant agreement No 857287). The main topics of the training included introduction and hands-on experiments on mesoporous bioactive glass nanoparticles (MBGNs) as drug delivery systems and 3D-printed scaffolds with plant derived compounds (phytotherapeutics). The workshop was organised by Prof. Aldo R. Boccaccini, Dr. Zoya Hadzhieva and Ms. Marcela Arango-Ospina with the support of Dr. Vivian Inês dos Santos and Ms. Sena Harmanci (Ph.D. students in our Institute). Three researchers from Latvia attended the training: Ms. Lauma Ieviņa, Dr. Paritat Thaitalay and Ms. Renate Teterovska.
