Prof. Aldo R. Boccaccini wins George Winter Award 2024 of the European Society for Biomaterials
Prof. Aldo R. Boccaccini, Head of the FAU Institute of Biomaterials, has been selected as the winner of the George Winter Award 2024 of the European Society for Biomaterials. The George Winter Award was established by the ESB to recognize, encourage and stimulate outstanding research contributions to the field of biomaterials. The nominee must have contributed significantly to the knowledge in the field of biomaterials through basic, experimental and/or clinical research. The award will be presented at the ESB annual conference, which this year is taking place in Turin, Italy, on September 7-11. Commenting on the award, Prof. Boccaccini said: “it is true honor to be recognized in this way by the ESB community. I dedicate the award to all current and former members of my research group and to all collaborators worldwide who have accompanied me in an exciting biomaterials journey of almost 30 years. Many thanks!”
