Prof. Francesco Baino (Polytechnic of Turin, Italy) visits the Institute of Biomaterials
On 3-4 February 2025 we received the visit of Ass. Prof. Francesco Baino from Institute of Materials Physics and Engineering, Department of Applied Science and Technology, Polytechnic of Turin, Italy. Prof. Baino is an expert in the field of scaffolds for bone tissue engineering and bioactive glasses. He was an invited speaker in the Materials Science Kolloquium of the FAU Department of Materials Science and Engineering. He presented the lecture: “Towards more functional and truly “bone-like” scaffolds using bioactive glasses and ceramics”. We have collaborated with Prof. Baino in previous years [1], and we plan new research collaborations in the field of scaffolds for bone tissue engineering.
