Modification of stainless steel surfaces for special applications
This project involves the evaluation of different techniques to determine the most suitable surface modification of stainless steel surfaces, aiming at tailoring the surface wettability (from hydrophilic to superhydrophobic surfaces). Novel surface nanostructuring and chemical functionalization approaches are being explored to optimize the performance of stainless steels in advanced applications in technology and medicine.
